Welcome to the International Association of Cultural & Creative Industries (IACCI)

IACCI is a strategic cooperative association for international cultural communication and industry cooperation, with the mission of fully exploring the cooperation possibilities among the association members, promoting the integration of resources in and out of the association, constructing international cooperative platform and accelerating the development of international cultural industries.

Welcome to 14th CCI Symposium

The 14th CCI symposium is an in-depth exploration of CCI's influence, impact and contributions since 2005, as well as its ongoing agenda.

Over the past 8 years CCI has sought to make the idea of innovation in and through the creative industries a mainstream policy consideration, deepen it for academic engagement, and apply it for industry and community benefit.

CCI has provided international leadership in:

1.broadening and extending our understanding of the innovation system and the place of digital content and creative industries within it

2.developing and applying models of education and training appropriate for a ‘creative workforce’

3.conducting research into the social, economic and cultural value of digital literacy, digital content innovation, and user-led innovation in diverse settings

4.positioning Australian research at the forefront of China’s creative industries emergence through the CCI ‘creative innovation’ model

5.building the global Creative Commons movement and participating in Australian law reform to better facilitate information flow as a driver of innovation

6.generating fundamental new knowledge at the boundaries of cultural and media studies and evolutionary economics.

But there is much more to be done.

In this symposium, CCI will engage with academic colleagues and industry, government and community partners to reflect on and debate the Centre’s contributions, and to chart pathways forward.

The symposium will be opened by ARC CEO, Aidan Byrne, and feature keynote addresses from Ian Hargreaves, Professor of Digital Economy at Cardiff University, and Roy Green, Dean of the UTS Business School at University of Technology Sydney.
