This year’s International Seminar Network on Cultural Industries will be held at the Peking University with the theme of “Chinese Culture ‘Go Global’ and National Cultural Brand Building”. The grand opening ceremony of 2008 Beijing Olympics presented the world a vigorous and booming China with 5000 years’ civilization. Based on this historic point, intellectuals and pioneers in cultural industries from all over the world are invited to join together in Peking University.

The symposium agenda engages the international experts around four themes:

1) New Characteristics of Global Cultural Trade and the Creation of National Cultural Industries

2) Chinese Culture “Go Global” and National Cultural Brand Building in the Post-Olympic Era

3) Reform of Chinese Cultural System and Revitalization of Chinese Cultural Industries

4) Front Trends of Cultural Industries across the Taiwan Straits and Future of the International Cooperation
